Peru armed forces monitor humanitarian support

Continuing with the actions of the State to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the President of the Council of Ministers and the Chief of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces General César Astudillo, among other authorities, supervised the journey of multi-sectoral humanitarian support developed in the Amazon Region. The activity was oriented to benefit the most vulnerable and low-income population in that part of the country.

Multisectoral humanitarian support allows medical care in specialties such as: internal medicine, otorhinolaryngology, gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics, laboratory and pharmacy, which are in charge of personnel from the Ministry of Health, EsSalud, the health  department of the Armed Forces and the Police National; In addition, rapid tests were performed to detect cases of patients with COVID-19.

During their stay, the authorities delivered food to those families who tested positive for COVID-19; they also received “anti COVID-19” hygiene kits from the Joint Command. Similarly,

The occasion allowed to hold a meeting with local and regional authorities. Subsequently, the head of the Council of Ministers inspected the land where the Bagua Temporary Care and Isolation Center will be installed to serve patients affected with COVID-19.

The High Command thus reaffirms compliance with military actions in the presence of COVID.
